Overview of Powder Grinding Plant

Powder grinding plant is also called powder making plant or powder milling plant. The main machines used in this production line are primary crushing equipment, usually the jaw crusher, milling equipment, usually Raymond mill or HGM/European grinder, lifting equipment, usually means the bucket elevator and dust removal equipment, etc. It is widely used for the powder making in mining, power, chemical industry, building materials, metallurgy, refractory materials, desulfurization of a power plant, asphalt mixing station and highway industry with an adjustable product size range of 20–1000 meshes.

Main Grinding Process of Powder Production Line

The whole powder making line includes the crushing process and grinding process based on different requirements. The crushing process is mainly finished by jaw crusher equipped with vibrating feeder and vibrating screen. Raw materials are fed into the jaw crusher by the vibrating feeder and then get screened by the vibrating screen into different sizes of particles. Those that are disqualified to be into the grinder will be conveyed back to the crusher for another crushing process. Then here we go to the milling process. It is completed by the grinder and bucket elevator. The qualified particles are lifted into the grinder by the bucket elevator machine and get squeezing and pestling between the rollers. Inside the grinder body, there is a separating device to collect powder that meets the set discharge size requirement. If needed, the pulse collector is available to make it a cleaner working environment.

Configuration of Powder Grinding Plant

Powder grinding plant is usually mainly composed of jaw crusher and grinding machine as well as other equipment like bucket elevator, electromagnetic vibrating feeder, analysis machine (powder separator), auxiliary equipment, blower, centralized electronic device. It can be configured with Raymond mill micro powder mill, high pressure grinding mill, ultrafine mill, tricyclic medium-speed micro powder mill or vertical mill according to the different needs of customers.

Jaw crushers are used for coarse crushing of materials with excessive particle size. Because the feed particle size of the grinder is limited, the material in the warehouse may exceed its requirements. At this time, the jaw crusher can be used for the first time crushing, in order to meet the feed particle size requirements of the grinder. The main working principle of jaw crusher is to use two pieces of jaws to extrude the material. Driven by the motor, the movable jaw lashes the fixed one and the squeeze large particles material into smaller ones.

Grinding Machine

Grinding machine is the key equipment in the grinding production line. Here the grinding is mainly completed by the grinding roller to grind the material. When the grinder machine works, the center shaft rotates and drives multiple roller shafts on it. Under the effect of centrifugal force, the roller shaft is thrown out to impact, extrude and grind the material falling between the grinding wall and the grinding rollers. The blower blows the powder into the powder separator. The powder that meets the standard will be discharged, collected, and the powder that does not meet the standard will be re-ground in the grinder.
